Come to visit Sawgrass Recreation Park! For a truly unique Everglades experience, sign up for Sawgrass' newest attraction - Gator Nights! Come and join one of our experienced captains as they take you and other guests across the Everglades at night! This tour includes an extended one hour (60 minutes) nighttime airboat adventure. Tour meets at 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Saturday nights for a departure time of 8:30 p.m. You will get to visit exclusive locations in the Everglades and will be able to see and hear a variety of reptiles, insects, and amphibians. Our airboat captains will use flashlights to search the waters for the telltale glow of the alligator's eyes. Hear the sounds of the wildlife and native reptiles as you sneak through the grass on a one in a lifetime adventure. Advance reservations are required for this adventure.
Guests who book our nighttime adventures are always welcome to visit us during the daytime hours to experience the exhibit areas as well. They are open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day and to gain entrance you would just need to bring a copy of your voucher for your nighttime adventure along with a valid ID.
Children are allowed on board the airboats, children ages 3 and under are free Children ages 6 and under are required to wear a life jacket for safety. Tour is suitable for children of all ages.
Tour requires a ten passenger minimum to operate on each tour date. Guests will be notified on the day of the tour if we have not met the minimum or if the tour is unable to operate due to inclement weather. In either case- full refunds will be given. Please call if you have any questions.
Airboats are loud, so use provided ear protection or bring your own for a comfortable ride.
Tours run only on select nights and require a minimum number of passengers to operate.
The boarding area is outdoors with uneven terrain; closed-toe shoes are recommended.
Children under six must wear life jackets, and guests should listen carefully to captain briefings.
