An afternoon cruise passing Glenaladale and on to Gaskan, former home of Mike Tomkies, the well known and respected naturalist who studied in great detail the local wildlife and wrote several books from the cottage he re-named “Wildernesse”. The return leg will take in the “Black Rocks”, island refuge of the clan chieftain, Cameron of Locheil, on his escape from the battle of Culloden.
This cruise takes you half way down the loch and back, with a fascinating commentary from our lovely tour guide. See the locations used in the famous Harry Potter films, including Hogwarts, visit the total tranquillity of the mid section of the loch and hear tales of how people have used this landscape and lived their lives over the centuries.
A bar is available onboard for hot drinks, soft drinks, alcohol and light snacks. For our younger guests there are activities to keep them interested and well behaved dogs are welcome too.
