About

We meet in the Garden District, where your guide will begin by giving you a brief history of the city, leading up to the birth of this iconic neighborhood.

We then head towards Lafayette Cemetery, one of New Orleans’ above ground “cities of the dead” where we will discuss some of our unique burial traditions from outside the gates.

We continue walking through the oak-lined streets, taking in the grandeur of the many historic mansions and sharing the stories of the people who built these stately homes, while also discussing the political landscape that gave birth to the area.

Named for its lush gardens, we'll point out some of the vast array of flora we pass, and look for what is in bloom while we explore the neighborhood.

Highlights:

  • Lafayette Cemetery (from outside the gates)

  • Commander’s Palace

  • Lush Gardens

  • Celebrity Homes

We’ll walk roughly 1.5 miles. Adjustments & breaks can happen as requested- its your tour.

We welcome your questions; dialogue is encouraged!
