Walk through the neighborhood of the historic GARDEN DISTRICT in the AMERICAN SECTOR while being dazzled by the opulent wealth of the early settlement of the Americans as they built their national banks, cotton processing warehouses and sugar fields to afford such breathtaking mansions and massive gardens. The area is filled with amazing antebellum homes with significant historic information. Be entertained with local stories and tales about reported hauntings, historic facts and celebrity and movie making information. Hear about the incredible above ground cemeteries in the city and the burial process. NOTE: PUBLIC ACCESS IS NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CEMETERY. Get inside information from locals about the city and its inner workings including places to shop, eat and listen to local music.

Tour Details

  • We will meet at: Lafayette Cemetery No.1 (outside the main gate) in the Historic Garden District of the American Sector at 1427 Washington Ave, New Orleans, LA 70130 (Across the street, you will meet your guide, who is wearing a green shirt, at the gates of the cemetery)
  • NOTE: PUBLIC ACCESS IS NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CEMETERY!!
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to check you in
  • We go out RAIN or SHINE!
