About

Uncover the south coast of Sao Miguel Island, introducing landscapes such as the Vila Franca isle, (known for Red Bull diving), taste the famous cakes Queijadas da Vila, and pay a visit to the chapel of Nossa Sra da Paz.

Getting Closer to the small village of Furnas, cherish the peaceful Lagoa da Furnas where you can see the widely recognized steams where locals put together a meal known as Cozido das Furnas which will be provided to customers.

Take a healthy warm bath safely contained in the well-known Hot Springs of Furnas, loosening up inside, surrounded by unique scenery of a restful and natural environment, which in turn, will fill your heart with memories of Azores.

What to Bring

  • We prescribe light shoes in the summer, and hiking boots for the winter season.
  • Towels and swimsuits are recommended for the Hot Springs baths. Feel free to bring some sandwiches and liquids to refresh yourself during the trip.
  • Wear closed-toe shoes with rubber soles (such as tennis shoes or hiking boots).
  • Sandals and shoes with high heels are not recommended. Wear comfortable clothing.
  • We recommend you dress in layers as temperatures can change quickly. In the cooler months (November through March), we suggest you bring a light sweater or jacket. Bring a hat and sunglasses and apply sunscreen before the tour.
  • Don’t forget your camera or video camera – the photo opportunities are amazing!
