For many years, Transylvania was a mysterious land where strange legends were born and intriguing characters were created. Thanks to this trip, you will have the chance to discover a small part of this land. In only one day you will visit two impressive and very different castles – Peles Castle and Bran Dracula Castle – and the charming medieval city of Brasov, probably one of the most beautiful ones in our country.
If we add the possibility to admire extraordinary views over the Carpathian mountains and to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch, the experience becomes complete and unique.
You will leave in the morning and head to the mountains. After one hour and a half drive, you will have the first stop in Sinaia – a famous Romanian mountain resort nicknamed the “Pearl of the Carpathians.” Here you will visit the former summer royal residence of the first king of Romania, Carol Ist. Built in the second half of the XIXth century, Peles Castle remained a vital legacy of the Romanian Royal Family, a symbol of honor and discipline. Prepare to discover the incredible story of the Romanian kings and the beauty of their castle.
After this, you will continue the journey, entering Transylvania, “the country beyond the forest.” Here is where you will discover the second castle in the program, Bran Castle, a medieval construction that became so famous thanks to the legend of Count Dracula. You do not need special equipment to visit the castle, but our advice is not to forget the garlic!
Before leaving this unique land, we will take you to Brasov, Kronstadt, under the original German name. Before getting there, you will have the chance to admire beautiful villages and their traditional architecture on your way to the city.
Reaching Brasov, you will stop in the Old City center and visit the Council Square and the Black Church, the largest Gothic building in the Eastern part of Europe. Here, you will hear the story of the Saxons. They colonized Transylvania in the Medieval Age, and their beautiful legacy remained in excellent shape despite time passing by.
In the evening, you will head back to Wallachia and go to Bucharest.
