A cool mountain morning opens on the slopes above Munnar: mist clings to tea bushes, a distant crow of a hill bird cuts through the quiet, and the path ahead climbs through neatly clipped rows of green. You start near Lakshmi Hills at about 4,650 ft and walk a roughly 5-mile route across gentle ridgelines to a summit near 6,400 ft, where Anamudi’s angular profile and the pale sheet of the Idukki reservoir come into view.

The route is about 5 miles (8 km) round trip with roughly 1,750 ft (530 m) elevation gain from the 4,650 ft base to the 6,400 ft summit; climbs are steady but not technical.
Hikers with moderate fitness can complete the walk; children should be accompanied by adults. The tour is not recommended for people with serious heart or back conditions, or for pregnant travelers.
