You step off the morning ferry into humid air and the town’s low, colourful houses fall away behind you as a minibus drops the group at the park entrance. Trails slope into a dense jungle where sunlight hacks through the canopy in narrow beams and the limestone islands of Lan Ha Bay loom on the horizon like distant, weathered teeth. The path climbs past three named ridges — Ang Vat, May Bau and Ang Phay — each offering brief, sharp viewpoints before the route softens toward Frog Pond.
