Ages 5-16 • 5 Day Camp
Join our full-day tennis camp for ages 5-16, where players of all skill levels enhance their game through engaging drills, match play, and fun games. With professional coaching, structured activities, and refreshing pool breaks, campers experience the thrill of competition in a supportive environment, culminating in exciting interclub matches every Friday.
5 Day Camp
Our full day tennis camps are a great place for beginner, intermediate and advanced players ages 5-16. The Tennis staff will divide the kids into groups based on ability and age, unless otherwise stated.
Whether you are a tournament player or a beginner to tennis, the professional tennis staff at BWRC is ideal for the advancement of your game. We develop each players game through unique action packed situation approaches where every game and drill targets a specific match play situation or technical skill. Students further develop skills through structured games that allow players to experience the intensity of competition in a fun and relaxed atmosphere!
10:00am-11:00am – Morning drills ( fed ball and live ball drills)
11am – 11:15am – Morning break( watermelon, shade and water to rehydrate)
11:15am – 12:00pm Situation point play or match play
12:pm-1:30pm – Lunch and pool break
1:30pm-2:00pm - Quick warm up and theme review
2:00pm- 2:30pm – Serves
2:30 – 3:30pm – Match Play and point situations
3:30pm – 4:00pm Camp team games!
4:00pm – Depart camp( kids that get picked up by parents, are at the tennis shop or are walked up to pool for the bus pick up.
We start each day with a dynamic warm up structured for tennis movements. Each day we have a specific theme, which include Groundstrokes, volleys, , Specialty shots(drop shots, spins - top and slice, overheads, recovery shots) Serves every day! top spin, slice and flat) Tennis related Games – king or queen of the court, beat the pro, defender, servers versus receivers, back to zero etc… Tennis Drills – all drills target a specific match play situation. They can either be fed ball drills( pro feds ball but there is no point played or live ball drills, where kids and pros feed the ball and points are played out. Morning snack break and afternoon snack break – Includes watermelon and fruit and lots of water all in the shaded tennis pavilion. Lunch (provided by BWRC) Pool break – after lunch kids are brought to the swimming pool. The first day kids will need an evaluation given by the lifeguards to determine their ability. This evaluation will also determine which areas of the pool they may use during free swim. Match Play and point situations - The campers will be playing informal matches most days amongst themselves and the pros. Pizza and Interclub Match Play - Every Friday, the campers that can serve can play in the match on Friday. These matches will be either amongst ourselves or with another local area Country Clubs. This is a great way to introduce kids to match play experience in a not so competitive atmosphere!
Ensure kids drink plenty of water and use sunscreen, especially on hot days, to stay comfortable and safe.
Wear comfortable, supportive tennis shoes suitable for active play on the courts.
Getting to the courts early guarantees a good seat and enough time for warm-up.
Be prepared for changing weather conditions, especially in mountain regions.
