Descriptions of your Activities

We start each day with a dynamic warm up structured for tennis movements. Each day we have a specific theme, which include Groundstrokes, volleys, , Specialty shots(drop shots, spins - top and slice, overheads, recovery shots) Serves every day! top spin, slice and flat) Tennis related Games – king or queen of the court, beat the pro, defender, servers versus receivers, back to zero etc… Tennis Drills – all drills target a specific match play situation. They can either be fed ball drills( pro feds ball but there is no point played or live ball drills, where kids and pros feed the ball and points are played out. Morning snack break and afternoon snack break – Includes watermelon and fruit and lots of water all in the shaded tennis pavilion. Lunch (provided by BWRC) Pool break – after lunch kids are brought to the swimming pool. The first day kids will need an evaluation given by the lifeguards to determine their ability. This evaluation will also determine which areas of the pool they may use during free swim. Match Play and point situations - The campers will be playing informal matches most days amongst themselves and the pros. Pizza and Interclub Match Play - Every Friday, the campers that can serve can play in the match on Friday. These matches will be either amongst ourselves or with another local area Country Clubs. This is a great way to introduce kids to match play experience in a not so competitive atmosphere!
