The day opens on a silver plain — breath clouds, engines idling — and you push off into the quiet of Lapland. Forests press close, their trunks black against snow that dares you to keep up; the trail alternates wide frozen rivers and tight tree runs where the machines hum like nervous animals. Guides break the pace, pointing out reindeer tracks and a distant ridge where the light leans thin and blue.
