About This Adventure

Embark on an unforgettable 4-7 day adventure aboard the custom-built Zulu, targeting giant black marlin in the stunning waters of Far North Queensland. With top-notch fishing gear and expert crew, this live-aboard experience promises thrilling catches and comfortable accommodations, making it a must for avid anglers seeking excitement on the high seas.

Itinerary

We offer extended live-aboard heavy tackle fishing charters between September and mid-December annually targeting giant black marlin up to 1000lb+ in size. These charters are available for up to 4 anglers and are designed for a 4 – 7 day length.

About the vessel:

Zulu is a 54ft custom-built Assegai sport-fishing vessel, built for fishing, Zulu features the latest in Furuno fish-finding technology including an omnidirectional sonar. Quality PENN, DAIWA and SHIMANO rods, reels and tackle. Zulu also features a Sea keeper gyro, which enables us to operate in most weather conditions. Zulu can accommodate up to 4 guests on live-aboard trips. Zulu utilises up to 4 crew on heavy tackle trips including the captain, wire man, crewman and hostess/cook.

Departure info:

Departures are out of Port Douglas, Cooktown and Lizard Island, Far North Queensland depending on the time of season.

Inclusion and what to bring:

  • Fishing rods, reels, bait and tackle inclusive.
  • Breakfast, lunch, snacks, afternoon nibbles and dinner prepared on board by our cook.
  • Guest accommodation for up to 4 guests between two cabins.
  • The main cabin features a double bed and two singles on either wing as well as an ensuite. The second cabin has two single bunks and access to the main bathroom.
  • Whilst the vessel does feature a stabilisation gyro which limits roll motion, we do recommend guests take their on precautionary measures prior to travel if prone to sea sickness.
  • BYO alcohol permitted.
