Lockers are provided at Dark Cave with a refundable deposit (reported at 50,000 VND); use a dry bag for electronics and avoid bringing irreplaceable items into mud or water activities.
Moderate fitness is recommended — expect some climbing to Paradise Cave’s mouth, walking on uneven surfaces, short swims/kayaks and participation in the adventure course at Dark Cave.
Phong Nha-Ke Bang is a karst landscape carved over geological time and protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site; caves have been explored progressively since mid-20th century and opened to tourism in stages.
The park manages visitor access to sensitive cave interiors; stay on marked paths, avoid touching formations, and follow guide instructions to minimize impact.
