The tour is approximately 8 hours and departs from the Aix-en-Provence Tourism Office meeting point; be there 10 minutes early.
Lunch and snacks are not included; you'll have free time in Gordes and Roussillon to buy food at local cafés or bring a packed lunch.
Expect guided walking tours in each village with short uphill sections, stairs and uneven surfaces—moderate mobility is required.
The itinerary includes time to view Sénanque Abbey; lavender fields are at peak bloom in June and July but exact flower presence depends on the season and weather.
The Luberon villages grew from medieval hilltop defenses and Roman-era settlements; later prosperity in the Renaissance shaped Lourmarin’s façades.
Stick to marked paths on the ochre trail to avoid electrostatic erosion, and support local producers to sustain village economies and landscape stewardship.
