The day begins with red rock rising like a skyline. From Moab, the shuttle threads along UT-128 where the Colorado River keeps pace, brown-green and muscular, tugging downstream. At the put-in near Fisher Towers, guides cinch life jackets and the current takes over—an easy, insistent grip that pushes the boat into a corridor of sandstone spires and high desert silence broken by laughter and paddle strokes.
