Colmar Tropicale was developed in the early 2000s as a themed resort to draw highland tourism; the region around Bentong has long been a historic trade and agricultural corridor east of Kuala Lumpur.
The highland rainforest here is vulnerable to development and erosion; stick to trails, avoid single‑use plastics, and support local vendors to keep tourism sustainable.
