You start the day with dust on your boots and jungle on the horizon — a throttle’s pulse, the distant chop of a river, and rice terraces stepping down toward the valley. The morning ATV section pushes through packed-mud puddles, narrow tracks between rice walls, a short cave cut, and shady stretches of secondary forest where the engine hushes and bird calls take over.
moderate.
8–9 hours.
Suitable for people in good general fitness and families with children 6+; requires basic mobility to mount ATVs and get in/out of rafts.
Operators commonly allow children from age 6 with guardian supervision; confirm age rules and child seats when you book.
No prior experience is needed; instructors provide basic training and guides lead raft sections suitable for families.
The tour runs approximately 8–9 hours with private transport included from common pickup points in tourist areas like Ubud or Kuta.
Operators typically supply helmets, boots for ATVs, life jackets for rafting, and a guide for each activity, plus a safety briefing before each segment.
The valley landscapes reflect centuries-old Subak irrigation practices and volcanic soils from nearby peaks such as Mount Agung that enabled rice terrace agriculture.
Stay on designated tracks, avoid trampling rice walls, and choose operators who follow leave-no-trace principles to reduce erosion and protect waterways.
