Early morning in Naples feels like a packed breath before a coastal exhale — you board a private, air-conditioned vehicle and the road unspools along cliffs where the Tyrrhenian Sea dares you to look down. The first hour sweeps you into Positano’s vertical streets: stairs, alleys and balconies force a slow, deliberate pace that rewards with splashes of color and the majolica dome of Santa Maria dell'Assunta.
easy.
8 hours.
Suitable for most fitness levels; requires ability to walk on uneven surfaces and climb stairs.
Most departures are from central Naples or the port; the private vehicle returns to the same pickup point unless other arrangements are made.
Expect short-to-moderate walking in each town — cobbled streets and many stairs, with most key sights reachable within 10–20 minutes from drop-off points.
Meals are typically not included; stops allow time for lunch in Amalfi or Ravello and light snacks in Positano.
Strollers can be used in some flat sections, but many areas have stairs and narrow alleys; infant seats are usually available on request.
Amalfi was once a maritime republic and trading power in the medieval Mediterranean; towns like Ravello developed inland as defensive and cultural centers.
The coast faces pressure from mass tourism and road congestion; favor local businesses, use refillable bottles, and follow marked paths to reduce erosion.
