You pull away from Naples as the road pins you to the seaside—SS163 carving the cliffside in tight switchbacks, the Tyrrhenian Sea flashing below like broken glass. For eight hours the coast unfolds: pastel houses tumbling toward pebble beaches, citrus orchards clinging to terraces, and fishing boats bobbing in sheltered harbors.
