You drive inland, vineyards thinning into scrub and flat-topped Karoo ridges rising on the horizon; at Dekkersvlei the air smells faintly of sun-warmed grape skins and dry earth. A short, guided farm walk introduces the estate’s small-lot wines and the unusual white Pinotage—told through vine rows and the farmhouse stories that made it.
