The Kayak Experience

The Friday Harbor Kayak Tour is designed to be family friendly. The kayak tour offers more time to explore than our Friday Harbor Half Day Tour and a stop on Turn Island for lunch and a short hike. This is the perfect way to spend the afternoon, exploring and taking in the beauty of the San Juan Islands.

We operate with small group sizes to ensure you can easily communicate with your kayak guide, reduce our impact on beaches and wildlife, and the overall safety of the groups. Our goal is to provide experiences, not cattle drives.

Need a private tour for a larger group? Contact us and we will work to set up the best kayak experience for your group.

Your kayak guide is key to having the best kayak experience. All of our kayak guides complete very rigorous training. Your guide will be safe and knowledgeable in all things sea kayaking. Guides complete a full naturalist and island history training. Once guides have graduated from our training, they are more than equipped to handle any situation on the water.

The Kayaks and Equipment We use Two-Person Kayaks for this kayak adventure. The kayaks are comfortable and very seaworthy.

Picnic-Style Lunch We provide a nice beachside picnic lunch to refuel for the paddle back.

We also include Waterproof Jackets and Pants, and Dry Bags at no additional fee.
