About

Fredericksburg Texas was founded by German immigrants in 1846, just a year after Texas became a State. Over time, our town has grown but has maintained its cultural heritage and great beauty. The Historic District of Fredericksburg encompasses a large area including the Miracle Mile, Fredericksburg’s Main Street shopping district. Within the setting of the Historic District, over 399 buildings are registered as National landmarks, and over 700 historic sites exist. This tour highlights several of our most important landmarks as well as incredibly beautiful architecture. Availability and weather permitting, guests will get off the vehicle at 2 of our Historic sites for a private viewing of these important and interesting places. From the unbroken Treaty with Native Americans to the prominence of well-preserved architectural delights such as our Sunday houses, those who experience this tour will receive a delightful and not-to-be forgotten memory.

This tour has been highlighted as attended by visiting journalists and publishing editors who wish to write about Fredericksburg and it’s expansive cultural heritage. Tours are narrated by local experts who have in-depth knowledge of the history and culture of this German community.
