The helicopter cuts a low, keen path across the West Coast’s cloud line and suddenly the land below answers—blue ice rivers carving into dark rock, ridgelines folding toward the Southern Alps. Passengers feel the breath of altitude as the pilot angles for a ten-minute snow landing on a crested icefield, boots pressing into compacted snow while the world opens in stark, glinting planes.

The airborne portion is 60 minutes; allow an extra 30–45 minutes for check-in, van transfer, loading and return to the office.
Infants must sit on an adult’s lap; limited mobility can be accommodated if operators are notified—note there are ladder-style steps to board.
Flights can be cancelled for safety; operators offer refunds if cancelled at least 24 hours prior for other reasons and will rebook or refund for weather cancellations.
Two 10-minute snow landings are included but are subject to operational and weather conditions; pilots make the final call for safety reasons.
