We will normally sail through the pass and out in the gulf depending on sea conditions. If conditions are too rough for a gulf sail we can also go in the protected Bay area.
4 hours to 5 hours
Overview The 4 hour Adventure Sail goes to the Gulf under the Perdido Pass Bridge and down the beach either towards Gulf Shores passing all of Orange Beach or sail down to Florida depending on the wind direction and customer preference. You will get to sail further and become more relaxed than on the 2 hour sail. We set ALL sails, get out the snacks and relax while looking for dolphins and wildlife. The Captain can answer questions about sailing in Orange Beach, let the kids steer the yacht, explain points of navigation, and help make you comfortable.
We have a full entertainment system on the yacht with Ipod plugin (if you want to bring your own music) Sirius Sat Radio, CD, CDR, MP3 etc... We have a large library of music for you to enjoy.
On the 4 hour sail you need to bring sun block, sun glasses, maybe a hat (the sun is more intense on the water), your music, beach towel, and your bathing suit if you'd like to stop for a mid gulf swim. All other items are provided by Orange Beach Sailing Adventures. We have drinks and snacks (Water, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Peanuts, Chips, Pretzels etc...) but feel free to bring your own. If your trip is in the morning or afternoon we can even arrange to have breakfast or lunch on the boat for your group or family.
Bring quality sunscreen and sunglasses as the sun’s rays reflect strongly off the water.
Pack swimwear if you want to take a dip in the Gulf during the stop mid-sail.
Even though drinks are provided, bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated on board.
The Gulf can get choppy; if you’re prone to seasickness, bring appropriate medication.
Perdido Pass has served as an important waterway for coastal trade and fishing communities for over a century.
