Join Penn Dixie educators for an exciting two-hour fossil hunting adventure! Perfect for ages 7 and up, you'll learn essential techniques to find, dig, and preserve your fossil discoveries. Explore the site, uncover hidden treasures, and continue your hunt until closing time—rain or shine, an unforgettable experience awaits!

About Fossil Hunting for Beginners

Learn the tricks of the trade from Penn Dixie educators. Tour the site and learn all the best spots to hunt for fossils. We’ll teach you how to find, dig, and preserve all the fossil treasures you find. This program is recommended for visitors ages 7+

Program is 2 hours in length. You are welcome to stay and dig after the program until the park closes.

No experience necessary. This program will run rain or shine.
