You step out onto a brisk street in Fort McMurray with your phone buzzing and a list of absurdly useful items: bandages, canned food, a flashlight. The app maps your progress and a remote host adds a running commentary as the Athabasca River watches from a distance, its current daring you to race the clock. This is an urban game that turns the city into a low-stakes apocalypse where streets, storefronts and public squares become checkpoints.
