Embark on a unique 2.5-3 hour kayak adventure with Forever Explorers, guided by a Florida Naturalist. This month’s focus is on migratory birds, where you'll paddle through Smyrna Creek, identifying various species while enjoying the stunning Indian River Lagoon. Perfect for beginners, this experience promises hands-on learning and unforgettable sights.

About

Each Forever Explorers Kayak Tour explores a different topic that is in line with the theme of the month. Guests are able to get hands on feet wet with varying types of data collection, plant and animal identification, and gain a deeper understanding of the wonders of the Indian River Lagoon.

All our kayak tours are guided by a Florida Naturalist. Beginners are welcome! Tandems (double) and single kayaks available.

Tours depart from varying locations - refer to the public facing headline for the departure location for each date.

Fall 2025 Schedule

Migratory Birds – Wednesday, November 5 | 9 to 11:30 a.m. We will be on the lookout for migratory gulls, sandpipers, terns and maybe a few ducks. Guests will kayak around Smyrna Creek and learn about the different species of migrating birds. Bring your binoculars!

This program is for ages 18+, signed kayak waivers are necessary for participation.
