About

A Farm-to-Table Day Trip to taste the best of the Hudson Valley

Just 60 miles to the north of NYC is world of farms, cideries, artisan food markets and restaurants. Join us on a Farm-to-Table day trip that’s sure to make you fall in love with the Hudson Valley. Explore beautiful farms, eat delicious food, drink hard cider & distilled spirits made from NY state apples, meet adorable sheep & chatty ducks, and shop your heart out at quaint country markets. These delicious spots are taking full advantage of the area’s bounty and producing amazing food and drink, making the Hudson Valley the perfect food-lovers day-trip from the Big Apple.

Come eat, drink, meet the farmers and explore as we tell the stories of this amazing region– from its revolutionary history to its roots as the birthplace of the modern environmental movement to its role as the breadbasket of New York. We’ll give you instant insider access to our favorite spots within the uber-popular, farm-fresh, food-forward Hudson Valley region — just 60 miles north of NYC, but a world away.

Meet your guide in the historic river town of Beacon, NY. There, on the bank of the Hudson, you’ll learn the history of the mighty river. We’ll watch (and enjoy) decadent donuts being custom-created (from your design!). Sample flavorful olive oils and sweet sticky balsamic vinegars at a Mother-Son shop. We’ll cross the mighty Hudson River and head to farmland where we’ll dig into flavorful farm-fresh seasonal foods from family-operated farms. Plus enjoy locally-produced, small-batch hard cider in a rustic setting on the grounds of a 4th generation apple farm.

Timing Note: This tour’s unique features include 1/2 walking tour & 1/2 mini-bus tour. And since we’re at the will of the country roads (and sometimes traffic) as well as our own desire to do a little shopping at farmers markets and country stores, we want to make sure you leave plenty of time at the end of the day and don’t book any other events too close to our end-time, just in case we experience a half-hour delay beyond our end-time. Be prepared for a delicious and filling day!
