The Outdoor Fondue Experience

About

Enjoy the great outdoors while having a yummy cheese fondue with the Fondue Backpack Interlaken is an activity you shouldn’t miss while visiting the Jungfrau region. Trying a Swiss cheese or chocolate fondue is a must-do in its own regard on every trip to the quaint Alpine nation known for its creamy cheese and milky chocolate. Now you can top that experience by eating a delicious cheese fondue on top of a Swiss mountain you just hiked up to with the fondue backpack Interlaken.

Fondue Backpack Interlaken

The fondue backpack / rucksack is brought to you through a cooperation between the Fondue Villa & Adventure Hostel Interlaken. As experts in Cheese and Adventures they dreamed up a combination of both where hiking and savouring Swiss melted cheese become one. The fondue backpack Interlaken has all the tools, utensils and ingredients you need to create the ultimate outdoor fondue feast in the middle of Swiss nature. A caquelon (fondue pot), burning fuel + rechaud, matches, wind cover, fondue forks, yummy Swiss cheese, fresh bread, special fondue spices, a bottle of white wine (Swiss tradition has it fondue is generally accompanied with white wine), a thermos of tea, cups, napkins, a plastic bag for the trash plus a bunch of Swiss toothpick flags that will make it all more picture perfect. We also add a jar of pesto which makes for an excellent bread spread or you can use it to create your own pesto fondue (highly recommended).

Now all you have to do is hike up a beautiful mountain, stroll around the shoreline of either the lake of Brienz or the lake of Thun or find a good spot next to one of the many waterfalls in the area. Set up your fondue pot and start melting the cheese to indulge in a natural culinary experience you will remember for a long time.
