The Missoulian Angler Fly Shop, located on S Higgins Avenue, has established itself as a cornerstone for anglers seeking a refined, authentic experience on the region’s rivers. This isn’t just retail—the shop crafts personalized guided trips that connect visitors to iconic trout fisheries like the Blackfoot and Clark Fork Rivers.
The surrounding landscape is characterized by rolling forested foothills, clear blue waters, and abundant trout species including Rainbow, Brown, and Cutthroat. Anglers guided by experts like Brian and Mike report exceptional success and learning opportunities, with patient instruction that helps newcomers and veterans alike refine their craft. The guides’ intimate knowledge of local waterholes and trout habits transforms fishing into a strategic, thoughtful pursuit rather than a random cast.

On summer days nearing 90°F, the shop’s teams adapt strategies to efficiently locate active fish, often surprising clients with multiple catches against the odds.
