This tour begins with visits to two beautiful panoramic spots: Piazzale Michelangelo and Fiesole, where you will undoubtedly fall in love with the amazing views of the Florentine skyline from above. Make sure your camera is ready for these unforgettable sights! Then you plunge into the city itself! First you will visit the Accademia Gallery, famous for being home to “David,” by Michelangelo. Learn about Michelangelo, “David,” and some of his other works of art from your expert, art-loving guide. Then, your tour will continue with a stroll through the historic streets of the city to arrive in Piazza Duomo. Discover the secrets of the city and its ancient architecture as you take a step back in time with your guide. Then, enjoy a delicious lunch break at a typical Tuscan restaurant… buon appetito! After lunch, we will continue through the heart of Florence and its stunning city center, quaint squares, and narrow alleyway. Follow your guide to the majestic Basilica di Santa Croce and make your way to Piazza della Signoria, the unique heart of the city’s social life. Learn about the imposing architecture of Palazzo Vecchio and the famous statues of Loggia de' Lanzi. Then, you will reach an important symbol of Florence: the majestic Ponte Vecchio! Learn about its incredible history, and how it was miraculously spared from the bombings during World War II. The tour finishes inside the world famous Uffizi Gallery, one of the most glamorous art galleries in the world! Follow your art-passionate guide as they bring you to the most fascinating paintings by artists such as Botticelli, Michelangelo, Giotto, Caravaggio, and more… At the end of the guided tour, you will have the possibility to stay in the museum for as long as you like. Please, be at the Station at least 15/20 minutes before departure time, so you don’t miss the train as the ticket is not refundable. Arrival at Termini Railway Station in Rome. Drop off at hotel is not included. Inside Termini Railway Station there is the Metro (A and B line) and in front of the main entrance there are a taxi stand and a bus station.
