.75-mile trip. A nice, short, calm trip. Perfect for younger kids that tend to get a little restless on the longer trips. Also, an excellent evening float, as the sun is going down.
Starts at Rappahannock River Campground and ends at private property down river. We will pick you up at the end and bring you back to the campground.
PFDs, 1 cooler tube per group (request upon arrival. It's a tube that holds a cooler, you need to provide the cooler) and post-float pickup provided.
Ideal water level for this trip is 2.75ft and higher. You'll have to paddle or push(sturdy sticks found along the way come in handy) yourself along through the slower areas once the river drops below 3ft on the guage(link below).
CHECK WATER LEVEL HERE
If the water level is too low(2.5 and under) we recommend just renting tubes for local use close to the campground(equipment only option).
Bring water shoes, drybags for anything you do not wish to get wet, plenty of fluids and snacks. At least 1 cellphone per group is required. Waterproof pouches for phones are available for purchase if you do not have one. Please ensure that everything you take on the river also comes out of the river. Help keep the Rappahannock beautiful.
