This fjord hike allows you to start and finish in the town of Bergen. The hike gives a real sea-to-summit feel and offers stunning views and scenery.

NOTE: As a participant, you must ensure that you use shoes that are suitable for hiking in wet/rough terrain. Example: Running shoes, sneakers or hiking boots. The guide can reject participants who do not have suitable shoes.


Transport together with guide 40- 55 minutes driving to where we start the hike. The guide decides the destination according to the weather forecast, and the group. It can be Mt Hananipa, Mt Bruviknipa, Mt Olsnessåta, Vaksdal or Mt Arnanipa. Common to all is a trip off the beaten track with fantastic views and very few hikers.

The guide will bring you through beautiful open countryside, wild nature, and stunning fjord views. The hiking path is in uneven and rugged terrain, so some experience of mountain hiking is necessary. We hike for 3-5 hours and ascend to 300-400 altimeter to the summit above the beautiful fjord.

What to bring:

Bring a small backpack with your own packed lunch, plenty of water, warm/waterproof clothing, sunglasses, and proper hiking shoes. Our guide will bring a light Norwegian snack and ensure you get safely to the top and back to Bergen , learning as much as you want about the local area and culture.
