Five Day Rental: Explore Cranbrook's Rails-to-Trails and Isadore Canyon by Bike

Five Day Rental from Northstar Bicycle turns Cranbrook, British Columbia into a backyard of singletrack, rails-to-trails and gravel options for visitors who need a dependable, modern ride for extended exploration. Based in Cranbrook, this five-day bike rental gives you time to map out circuits through the Northstar Rails to Trails and into the Cranbrook Community Forest, where short canyon runs and open ridge loops reward steady pedaling. What makes this rental stand out is its combination of gear variety and local route knowledge. The operator keeps a large fleet of modern bikes in multiple styles and sizes and the staff will help match saddle height, tire width and gearing to your plans—whether you're after an all-day gravel loop or shuttleable singletrack laps. Practical extras are part of the package: the rental notes a Kuat NV Base 2.0 hitch rack (two-bike capacity, 60 lb per bike, ramp included) for customers driving in with their own vehicles, easing logistics for longer road-and-trail itineraries. Start your rides at the Northstar Rails to Trails trailhead: north on Cranbrook St N, at the traffic light turn left and cross Cranbrook St N onto MacPhee Rd, then follow the Rotary Path to the yellow gate at the railway crossing at MacPhee Rd and Theatre Rd. For steeper, rockier terrain head to Isadore Canyon—reach it by taking the Rotary Path to 30th Ave N, continue on Stahl Rd past Sandor Rentals and follow the dirt road to the trailhead. Signage there points to Fraggle Rock, Eager Hill and routes through the Cranbrook Community Forest. The landscape alternates between packed gravel trail, benches of glacially reworked rock and short canyon gouges that funnel runoff in spring—features that create fast descents and technical stretches in close proximity. Vegetation is typical of southeastern British Columbia, with mixed stands of aspen and spruce edging the trails and meadow openings that make for clear sightlines. The Rails to Trails is a converted corridor that keeps a gentle grade, ideal for longer mileage or family outings; Isadore Canyon offers the local, punchier mountain-bike feel. For visiting riders this rental removes the barriers—forget hauling a bike across the border or flying with a frame; you can arrive with intent and spend five days sampling everything from mellow rail-grade cruising to canyon tech. The crew’s local route tips and bike selection make Five Day Rental a practical gateway to Cranbrook’s underrated riding scene and a smart choice for travelers who want to explore on two wheels. Reserve a Five Day Rental to layer route variety, hands-on bike fit, and simple vehicle logistics into a compact five-day field test of Cranbrook’s trails—ideal for newcomers and repeat visitors wanting deeper local mileage and confidence and adventurous commuting.
