Dive into the art of fish preparation in this hands-on cooking class! Learn to select, fillet, and cook various fish, transforming them into mouthwatering dishes like crispy goujons and stuffed sea bass. Enjoy your creations at the chef's table, complete with expert guidance and a digital recipe pack to recreate the experience at home.

Explore the wonderful world of fish with this absolute catch of a class. Unlock the secrets to buying and preparing fish, before finessing and flexing your filleting skills. Then it’s time to experiment as you transform your fish into up to three delicious dishes. Kitchen confidence, sorted!

3 hours, including cooking and dining

What you’ll do:

  • Nail the foundations of fish, including what to buy, how to buy it, how to store it and how to cook it.
  • Sharpen your filleting knife skills and flex them with 2 types of fish – a flat plaice and a round sea bream.
  • Up your game as you transform your plaice into deep-fried goujons and/or poach it in an aromatic broth.
  • Pan-fry your sea bream like a pro.
  • Knock up a refreshing salsa verde.
  • Discover the art of stuffing and cooking whole sea bass, as well as the principles of flavouring it.
  • Take a seat at our chef’s table to tuck into your fish, alongside roasted new potatoes rustled up by your chef.

What you’ll eat & drink:

  • Lip-smacking plaice goujons
  • Beautiful aromatic poached plaice (optional)
  • Fried sea bream with a tangy salsa verde
  • Epic stuffed sea bass
  • Spicy pan-fried prawns
  • Crispy roasted new potatoes
  • A complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival (or a soft drink, if you prefer)
  • Water is provided throughout and you’re welcome to purchase wine, beer, spirits & mixers, cocktails and softs from our drinks menu.

What to expect:

  • Easy-to-follow demos, led by our expert teaching chef.
  • Tuck into your fish dinner around our chef's table (or pack a box to take home, if you prefer).
  • A digital recipe pack with everything you need to recreate the magic at home.
  • You'll work at your own station to recreate the dishes demonstrated by your teaching chef
  • All ingredients, equipment and aprons will be provided.

Additional info

  • You don’t have to be part of a pair to book. If you’re flying solo, you may be paired up with another person.
  • The duration of the class includes teaching demos and hands-on cooking, as well as time to tuck into delicious dishes at our chef’s table.
  • Only those who are actively taking part in a class are permitted at the Cookery School. Sadly, we are unable to accommodate spectators or provide a waiting area for friends and family.
