GulfCart Fishing Charters delivers consistent, fun inshore and nearshore fishing trips off the coast of Cortez, Florida. Perfect for families and novices alike, Captain Eric’s local know-how ensures steady catches and a memorable day on the water.
On the southwestern Gulf Coast of Florida, where the shallow blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico meet the intricate mazelike bays around Cortez, GulfCart Fishing Charters offers a hands-on gateway to Florida’s prize coastal fisheries. This is a region known for its productive inshore waters and nearshore reefs, stretching from Sarasota to Bradenton Beach. Captain Eric, a local expert, guides anglers through these thriving ecosystems on half- and full-day excursions, delivering both family-friendly instruction and serious fishing action.
The hallmark of a trip with GulfCart is personalized attention paired with strategic boatwork grounded in decades of local knowledge. Early morning light casts a calm glow over the graceful mangroves and oyster bars, prime fishing hotspots for spotted sea trout, redfish, snook, and bottom dwellers like grouper and snapper. When the bite slows nearshore, Captain Eric moves efficiently, putting clients on kingfish, barracuda, and other pelagic species just 5-10 miles off the coast. Every charter balances steady, productive fishing with an approachable, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for beginners or families eager to learn fishing techniques in a natural setting.
Captain Eric’s patient teaching style stands out, especially for younger anglers learning to rig baits and land their first big catch. Anglers repeatedly praise his ability to keep lines wet and action happening consistently, making GulfCart Fishing Charters a go-to for both repeat customers and newcomers drawn by the promise of local expertise and genuine hospitality. Whether casting near the mangroves or trolling offshore reefs, this operation captures the spirit of Florida fishing with an emphasis on comfort, fun, and steady results.
