Morning light slices through Fez’s alleys as your driver eases out of the city and the road climbs toward the Middle Atlas. By midafternoon, cedar forests and their resident Barbary macaques give way to ochre plains; the wind begins to shape the dunes, daring you to follow. Night one is under the stars after a short camel trek into Erg Chebbi—tents, tea, and a desert that moves with the breeze.

No prior experience is required; handlers assist mounting and the camel pace is slow—expect basic balance and brief discomfort for some.
Breakfasts and dinners per itinerary are included; nights are a mix of desert tents (standard) and riads or 3/4-star hotels in towns.
Expect long driving legs—day one covers much of the distance to Merzouga, day two covers gorges and valleys, and day three visits Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou before Marrakech.
