Festive Afternoon Celebrations at Bonnington Dublin: Christmas Lunch & Live Music

Bonnington Dublin on Swords Road in Whitehall, Dublin 9, hosts Festive Afternoon Celebrations that swap late-night revelry for a relaxed, music-forward Christmas lunch. For visitors looking for a social, low-key holiday experience, this four-hour event combines a hearty festive menu, live tributes, and a timing designed for daylight travel. Step inside the hotel's dining room and you'll find long tables set for lunch, seasonal décor, and a program that moves smoothly from starter to main course and on to live entertainment. The schedule is simple and welcoming: arrival at 12:00 PM, lunch served at 12:30 PM, and live performances after the meal. Dates in early December include Tom Jones tribute nights with Danny Roman on December 4 and 11, plus a swing-focused Christmas afternoon with Tom Cole Jr. on December 13. Tickets are €49 per person and include the full lunch and show; the event is for over-18s. What makes this offering a standout for Dublin visitors is its focus on conviviality rather than club culture. It's an accessible way to experience Irish holiday atmosphere—family groups, clubs, and societies will find a comfortable pace and familiar songs delivered with energy. The Bonnington Dublin's location on Swords Road places it a short ride from central Dublin and within reach of Phoenix Park's broad lawns and mature oaks, so the event pairs well with daytime exploration of the city's green spaces before or after the meal. Details matter: the program emphasizes live music, clear arrival and serving times, and a price that bundles food and entertainment. It's an easy booking for groups, and the hotel recommends reserving early to secure your preferred date. Practicalities are straightforward - arrive on time for seating, expect a set menu tailored to the season, and plan transport in advance since the event ends at 4:00 PM. For travelers who prefer structured holiday outings to late-night parties, this afternoon format offers warmth and rhythm: communal tables, a curated menu, and performers who lean into Christmas standards and swing. It's also a good choice for visitors looking to combine a festive meal with sightseeing or an afternoon at nearby attractions. Whether you're in Dublin for a weekend or calling the city home, the Bonnington's Festive Afternoon Celebrations deliver a clear, well-timed holiday alternative that keeps the focus on food, music, and company. Booking terms are firm - sales are final and non-refundable, though date changes may be possible subject to availability and the Bonnington Dublin Hotel's discretion - so check your plans before confirming.
