Craft your own goat’s milk soap with hands-on guidance at Jireh Hills Family Homestead in Alvinston, Ontario. This interactive, nature-driven workshop connects tradition with sustainable farm life in just two hours.

We will meet with a quick introduction to the old-fashioned skill of cold process soap making.
You and your group will take part in an interactive & live demonstration by Mama Bear (aka Cheryl), the owner and experienced soap maker of Jireh Hills Soap Co.
Next, it’s YOUR turn to handcraft your OWN personalized blend of soap using the natural herbs, essential oils, flowers and additives provided. You will receive professional advice and guidance as you organize and plan your customized blend.
Once you’re ready and confident, using the safety precautions and equipment provided, you will and pour your own batch of soap. Lastly, you will take home your freshly poured batch of soap with instructions on how to cut, cure and use your custom-created batch (approximatley 8 bars of soap).

Classes take place year-round and weather permitting, outdoors in the natural surroundings of our farm, or in our heated "barn house" during the colder months.
Wear long sleeves and bring an apron to protect your clothing from soap ingredients.
Follow all safety instructions carefully during the soap pouring process to avoid skin irritation.
Take notes on your custom recipes and curing instructions to replicate your favorite blends at home.
The class runs for about two hours; starting promptly ensures you get the full experience without rush.
