Visit an authentic Apulian Masseria and find out how Mozzarella, Burrata, Caciocavallo and many other typical products of southern Italy are made.
You will taste both fresh and seasoned cheeses, typical cold cuts and much more... all in complete relaxation. An experience that will make you learn about the history of a small farm and its great craftsmanship!
The visit is usually carried out in English, in order to find a common language for our guests, but you can ask for some explanations in French, since our guide speaks French too.
As the activity takes place on a farm and partially outdoors, it is advisable to wear closed shoes and suitable clothes for outer temperatures.
Pets are welcome, except for the visit inside the mozzarella factory.
A tale of the origins of the Masseria, what the historical term "Masseria" means and the ethics that accompany our supply chains;
Discovering the stable with cows, calves and pigs. Visit to the milking parlor. All surrounded by the Fragni wood where animals are free to enter and live in freedom.
Entrance to the Dairy with explanation of the production technologies of Cow Mozzarella, Burrata, Stracciatella and other typical Apulian cheeses. The Mastro Casaro will show the great dexterity and experience behind our entire supply chain. In the tasting, according to availability and tastes of the visitor, will be offered:
Dairy products and cheeses: Mozzarella, Stracciatella or Burratina, Canestrato Pugliese, Caciocavallo and Giuncata or Ricotta. + jams or mustards;
Cured meats: Capocollo, or Bacon and Salami.
Baked products: Focaccia with tomato, Taralli or homemade bread and oil frize.
Typical products: Fresh vegetables according to seasonal availability.
