Farm Animal Photography & Cows at Fair Weather Farms

Fair Weather Farms is a family-friendly working farm and photography destination located in Chesapeake, Virginia. The farm offers a curated collection of photography experiences that combine pastoral backdrops, animal encounters, and rentable studio space. Guests can book timed sessions that feature settings such as a rustic barn, vintage tractor, charming swing, farmhouse studio, and a lush greenhouse. Several sessions include structured cow interactions: select experiences provide approximately twenty minutes of one-on-one time with the farm’s cows followed by additional time to photograph the property. Photographers are encouraged to bring their own camera equipment; many sessions are sold as location time only. The Farmhouse Studio is available for hourly rental and provides natural light, newborn props, versatile backdrops, and finishing touches for portraits and lifestyle shoots. Seasonal programming is part of the farm’s calendar. A limited‑time Winter Wonderland runs October 19–31, offering themed setups such as a carousel, ice rink scene, and Santa’s Workshop for holiday portraits. Other options include greenhouse sessions that highlight seasonal plants and floral backdrops. Fair Weather Farms emphasizes a safe, respectful approach to animal interactions and clear session guidelines. Bookings prioritize scheduled time slots to manage animal welfare and property access. Photographers, families, and small groups use the location to create creative, memorable imagery in a rural Chesapeake setting. Advance reservations are recommended to secure preferred dates and specific session types. The farm welcomes both professional photographers and hobbyists, accommodating newborn, family, engagement, and seasonal portrait sessions across indoor and outdoor settings throughout the year regularly.
