An ideal way to make memories together on your visit to Cullen.

This booking is for a family group taking part in an open group lesson and is valid for up to 4 people (max. 2 adults). If there is availability in the selected lesson time, additional participants can be added for £25pp, up to a maximum of 6.

We provide all the equipment you'll need, including high-quality 5mm thick winter wetsuits that keep you toasty, buoyancy aids, and gloves, boots, and hoods if needed.

  • Perfect for your first time paddleboarding; build comfort, skills, and safety knowledge for independent paddling.
  • Flat-water conditions; sheltered harbour or beach location
  • Structured 2 hour lesson
  • Learn control techniques, safety & self-rescue, and have fun!

What to expect?

For our Introduction to SUP, we'll meet at the chosen venue; a sheltered harbour or our beach base depending on the conditions. We'll get changed and familiarise ourselves with the equipment and important safety information. Then we'll hit the water where you'll build control of the board on your knees before getting to your feet. Our aim is to provide a structured lesson that builds your comfort and prepares you for independent paddling or a tour. The lesson will last about 2 hours after we're changed and good to go.

What to bring?

Please bring a towel, sunscreen, and water. We recommend you arrive with swimwear on (for under your wetsuit) as it makes it easier to get changed at the beach.

Requirements

  • We ask that everybody taking part in our paddleboard lessons can swim 50 metres.
  • The minimum age limit for our group activities is 8 years old. For younger or less confident participants taking part in a family group, please consider selecting our private upgrade to have an instructor exclusively for your family.
