Tour description

Eager to discover your new favorite winter activity in Lapland? Our tour offers the perfect chance for relaxed snowmobiling in the wilderness, ideal for both adults and kids! Designed for families with young children, adults drive snowmobiles while kids ride in a heated, covered sled guided by an expert. After the snowmobiling adventure, children can try out mini snowmobiles in a safe area within the resort. This tour is also perfect for first-time snowmobilers. Hop on and start exploring the snow-covered landscapes of Lapland!

What’s included?

  • Winter clothing (thermal overall, thermal boots, woolen socks, mittens, balaclava)
  • Transfers (if needed, from Rovaniemi city center or Santa Claus Village to Apukka Resort and back)
  • Hot drink
  • Snowmobile driving and safety instructions
  • Snowmobile ride 10-20 kilometers
  • Mini snowmobiling for children (weight limit 50 kg)

Please note

On this tour, adults always share a snowmobile, while children (4-14 yo) and infants (0-3 yo) join the safari on a heated sled that is behind the guide’s snowmobile. We highly recommend one of the parents sit with a small child in the sled for the child’s comfort and safety.

If a child over 140 cm wishes to sit in a snowmobile as a passenger, a full adult price will be charged. In this case, you need to book the child as an adult!

The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and in possession of a driving license valid in Finland. The snowmobile driver is held liable for any damages caused to the vehicle.

Securing self-liability waiver for your snowmobile prior to the safari minimizes potential self-liability costs to a maximum of 250€ / person/snowmobile/accident, down from the standard 980€ in case of an accident. This waiver is individualized and applicable for a single snowmobile safari.

In our tours, two people generally share a snowmobile, and there's an opportunity to switch drivers at the midpoint. For those who prefer exclusive use of the snowmobile for the entire tour, we offer the single driving supplement.

The mini snowmobile is suitable for children aged 5 to 10, with a weight limit of 50 kg. The child must be capable of controlling the mini snowmobile independently. Parents are not allowed to drive the mini snowmobiles with their child due to safety reasons.

Special diet options (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) are available upon request.
