Little River Railroad operates scenic, steam-powered train excursions from Coldwater, Michigan, offering a variety of seasonal and special-event rides to Quincy and Hillsdale. The railroad runs a century-old steam locomotive fleet, including the historic Steam Engine No. 110, pulling unique coaches where riders can choose seating and enjoy panoramic views.
Trips vary in length and theme: short 45-minute summer round trips; 1.5-hour Quincy round trips with a 20-minute stop at Quincy Village Park and playground access; and a 4-hour Hillsdale round trip with a 30-minute layover. Special events include the Easter Bunny Express with an egg hunt and toddler area (baskets provided), the Christmas Express featuring Santa aboard the train, seasonal Fall Color Trip and Pumpkin Train offerings with pumpkins, gourds, apples, and cider from local vendors, the Train Robbery themed ride, Father’s Day excursions with a complimentary ticket for dad per adult purchase, and a 20th Anniversary Train Ride celebrating two decades in Coldwater.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to explore the on-site museum prior to departure on select dates.
