  • Black crappie are numerous and each fall our clients catch multiple state trophy fish.
  • Lake Winnipesaukee holds a lot of crappie, and some very big ones.
  • There is no size limit and a daily bag limit of 25 fish per angler. We have no problem with people keeping fish to eat, but discourage cooler-filling missions.
  • In order to maintain this amazing fishery, we ask our clients to release crappie that are 13-inches and larger.

Adventure Tips

Bring polarized sunglasses

Polarized lenses help reduce water glare, allowing you to spot fish and underwater structures more effectively.

Layer up for cool mornings

Fall mornings on the lake can be chilly; wear layers to stay warm and adjust as the day warms.

Use light tackle

Light spinning gear increases sensitivity for feeling the subtle bites common with black crappie fishing.
