About

Enjoy the grounds of Edith Farnsworth House for taking photographs, sketching, walking, enjoying the natural surroundings, quiet reflection, or picnicking on the lawn. The house may be viewed from the exterior and upper terrace. Interior access is not included with this ticket, and this is not a guided experience.

More Information

Dress and be prepared for the outdoors (i.e. sunscreen, insect repellent, water, a folding chair or picnic blanket, and umbrellas or rain ponchos if needed.) Guests are also encouraged to bring along a water bottle.

The Edith Farnsworth House Historic Site is not a public park. Climbing, fires, loud music, and active sports are prohibited.

Photography for personal use is permitted. No drones, selfie sticks, or stabilizers are allowed on the property.

By attending a tour, program, exhibition, or event, you consent to your image being used in Edith Farnsworth House marketing, social media, and publications. Please speak with a staff member if you do not want your photograph taken.

Pets are not allowed on the property.

$5 First Saturdays May-November 2025

Inspired by National Play Outside Day, discover self-guided nature walks, birding, sketching, picnics, and more on our 60-acre grounds. Self-guided and activity prompts available at check in.

Available the first Saturday of the month May-November. No special tickets needed, just purchase your Exterior View Ticket on September 6, October 4, or November 1 and the $5 rate will apply.

PRESERVATION WORK IN PROGRESS

We are excited to continue important preservation work on the Edith Farnsworth House grounds this season! During your visit you may see this critical work in action as we continue work on the first phase of our landscape renovation.
