Discover the fascinating story of how Ann Lee's missionaries attracted 200 followers in 1782, shaping the Village's early years. Your tour includes regular admission, making this a memorable journey into Shaker history.

In 1782, Ann Lee sent two of her missionaries, Israel Chancy and Ebenezer Cooley, to Loudon Center, New Hampshire. Over the next year some 200 people joined the Shakers and in 1792, established Canterbury Shaker Village.

Join Education Manager Kyle Sandler for a special tour investigating the earliest years of the Village’s existence.
