Our Taormina and Etna tour from Catania is the perfect combination to experience nature and culture.
Before reaching the first destination of this Taormina and Etna tour from Catania, we will go through the ancient village of Zafferana Etnea, which stands on the southern side of the volcano. The first stop of the day tour is at Rifugio Sapienza, at 1.900 meters above sea level, and here we stop for about 1.30 h to walk among the “Silvestri Craters”, immersed in a typically lunar landscape.
After having been filled with positive and volcanic energy by Mt. Etna, the second part of the Etna day trip will continue in the following destination, so we will reach Taormina, the so-called “Pearl of the Mediterranean”.
Here you can decide to have a stroll in Corso Umberto with our tour guide or by yourself. In any case, you will find the Greek theatre, the oldest churches and monuments, high fashion shops, restaurants, pizzerias, and pastry shops to taste our local specialities.
