You will learn and discover how Cairns was founded through necessity for access to the goldmines in the Great Divide Mountain Range before becoming an integral part of World War 2 defence strategies due to its topography and position in the pacific. Our journey starts along the newly developed esplanade packed with features to be active or simply relax with the family. Along the Trinity Inlet waterfront are memorials to honour and remember those that have built this city. From here it is onto the luxurious Northern Beaches where they once housed a battle training field, now providing witness to the beauty of coastal scenery and serene stretches of golden sands. From there we go deep into the world's oldest rainforest with unmatched flourna and pristine waterfalls, unique nature that will surprise you along with species specific to the region.
As we move from one part of the rainforest to another we stop to overlook the layout of the land and what makes the region so unique. The strong presence of agriculture and significance of sacred locations to the aboriginals makes this a special experience, before we finish the tour swimming in crystal clear waters.
