About

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our 8-Hour UTV Rental at Wilmington Adventures. Perfect for families, couples, and groups seeking a day full of exploration and excitement, this rental option offers you the freedom to discover the natural beauty of Carolina Beach at your own pace.

It’s fun to simply get outside and play on the beach. On that note, it would be hard to find a more exhilarating way to tackle the beach on a UTV.

Residents and visitors have long enjoyed the beach area now known as Freeman Park. In fact, the area has become one of Carolina Beach's major attractions as it is one of the only beaches in NC that you can drive your 4X4 vehicle on.

Whether coming to the area to swim, camp, fish, or go boating, crabbing, or casting for minnows, people love Freeman Park. Visitors are drawn to the beautiful beach with its variety of wildlife, dunes, and majestic sea grasses indigenous to the region.

FAQ

What are the age and height requirements?

Minimum age to rent and drive is 25 with a valid driver’s license. While we do not enforce a strict height requirement, typically if an individual is about 54 inches tall, they will fit comfortably and be able to ride. Minors must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.

Wilmington Adventures reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, even those meeting the qualifications above, based on our sole discretion.

Is there a Security Deposit?

Yes, a $500 security deposit is required per vehicle. The renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle (including parts, labor, loss of use). Please acknowledge: the renter’s credit card that is used will be saved on file and WILL have a hold placed on their card (on the day of rental) for the security deposit in the amount of $500 per vehicle.

Once the vehicle is returned and inspected for possible damage or abuse and no signs of damage or abuse are found, the credit hold will be immediately released. If there is any damage or abuse detected, Wilmington Adventures will keep the security deposit hold in place to allow a mechanic time to inspect and report all damages.

What if I damage the vehicle during the rental?

The renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle (including parts, labor, loss of use). Please acknowledge: the renter’s credit card that is used will be saved on file and WILL have a hold placed on their card (on the day of rental) for the security deposit in the amount of $500 per vehicle. Careless and abusive driving is not permitted – absolutely NO donuts, jumping or excessive high speeds are allowed and strictly enforced.
