Embark on an unforgettable journey through Anna Ranch in Waimea, where history meets breathtaking landscapes. Ride across the Kohakohau stream, ascend 1200 feet, and savor stunning views of Mauna Kea and more. Whether you're an expert or a beginner, this adventure promises a rewarding experience amidst Hawaii's natural beauty.
Experience the beauty and legend of Anna Ranch in Waimea with our exclusive tour of nearly 100 acres located behind the historic residence of Anna Lindsey Perry-Fiske, original Hawaiian Cowgirl and the First Lady of Ranching. We begin our tour with a brief introduction and history of the operating ranch and legacy Anna left behind.
We ride directly from the ranch across the Kohakohau stream and head up nearly 1200 feet to our snack spot, where we can hear the flowing stream and enjoy a stunning view of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualalai. Total distance for the ride is approximately 6 miles, but with the climb, it seems a lot further than that. For our expert riders, we can do two laps. For the less experienced or the adventuresome, we have Ebikes available as well.
Please note: This ride is all single track with steep sections and switchbacks. Riders must have experience for this ride. That being said, we take up beginners with an adventurous spirit and willingness to learn how to negotiate switchbacks and fun climbs. It’s certainly worth the effort and gives riders a sense of accomplishment. !Description of image
